Skin cancer is the most common form of human cancer. It is estimated that over 1 million new cases occur annually. The annual rates of all forms of skin cancer are increasing each year, representing a growing public concern. It has also been estimated that nearly half of all Americans who live to age 65 will develop skin cancer at least once. The most common warning sign of skin cancer is a change in the appearance of the skin, such as a new growth or a sore that will not heal.1 Skin cancer consists of three condition; bassal and squamous cell carcinoma (most common forms), and melanoma. Those three forms have the same risks factor: frequently exposure to sun (ex: during vacation), age (> 50 y.o, occured increased prevalences), exposure to UV radiation in tanning bed (Because of the adverse effects on human health of overexposure to UV radiation, including skin cancer, cataracts, suppression of the immune system, and premature skin aging, the WHO does not recommend the use of UV tanning devices for cosmetic reasons2), exposure to arsenic substances hereditary, poor nutrition, someone with blue or green eyes, red hairs3, previously have personal or family history of cancer, long outdoor experiences, special kind of skin (ex: in indonesia "tahi lalat", in english "mole" with following development: Asimetry, BORDER;iregular margin, COLOR; variative colours, DIAMETER; big size, > 6 mm, EVOLUTION; fast changes of size and colour), and peoples who are immunosupressed or lack of immune system related to therapy history.
